MA Health Connector Revenue Streams Revealed - Bill Fields

"The Connector revenues come from selling plans, and selling nearly free products was the path of least resistance. Unsurprisingly, 90 percent of the Connector’s operating revenue has come from the fee it earns for state-subsidized plans."
The above link to the Globe editorial and the pasted quote tell the real story of health care reform and small business in our State.
The "fee" is a commission paid to the Ma Health Care Connector on
profitable independent operation, one that is being copied on a national level. The Connector gets paid for giving away subsidized
health plans, the care plans plus the plans sold on the choice side. Is it any wonder why small business isn't at the top of the list.
Pass this along to your State Rep and Senator and tell them small business needs the
Plus the Senate needs to pass the house amendment on the "take up rate" on the FSC filing.
