Senator Michael Moore and Representative Dorenca Forry, co-chairs of the Joint Committee on Community Development & Small Business are hosting a roundtable discussion regarding the Health Care Reform Law.
This is your chance to be heard. We need your voice to let legislators know that Health Care Reform needs to get back to its original intent. Chapter 58, the law that reformed health care, was both ground breaking and a law that, as written, we could live with. I know that both
Chapter 58
- Required that you offer health insurance to your full time employees or pay a small fine on your full time employees.

That you allow all of your employees to pay for THEIR health plan using a section 125 and paying pre tax dollars.
That was it.
If you can't attend, send an email to Bill Fields, who has represented many of us at MAPS and other businesses, at healthplansolutions@comcast.net to show the representatives that you want to get back to the Law. That the current interpretation results in a tax and that you can't afford this new tax. That the filing needs to be done in plain English. That you don't need to read 12 pages of instructions to answer 2 questions. That if you were unfairly fined that you want YOUR MONEY BACK. That you want proper oversight of the auditors. If you have been audited, tell your story in written form.
