Certification
Recognized by Corporate America as the symbol of excellence in the Staffing Industry, the Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) and the Certified Temporary-Staffing Specialist (CTS) designations are offered by MAPS in conjunction with the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS).
CPC/CTS Certification was initially established as a self-regulating vehicle for the staffing industry. Today, along with this, it is the opportunity to expand the professional knowledge base in employment law, changing regulations, best business practices and the highest standards of ethics.
How to Qualify:
Exams are given in test centers across the country during the months of May and November. To be eligible for certification you must meet the following criteria:
- CPC and CTS candidates must have at least two years experience in the staffing industry, as of the first day of the testing month. Position experience includes: owner, partner, manager, recruiter, or placement consultant within a private firm; or corporate human resources or employee relations professional within a large corporation.
- Candidates must currently be employed in the industry.
- Candidates must be able to submit written verification of their two years experience upon request.
- Candidates must agree to uphold the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) Standards of Ethical Practices and certification program rules.
How Do I Prepare For The Exam:
Study material is available for the CPC and CTS exams. These study materials can only be purchased through NAPS — they are not available in local bookstores.
